The University The University of Bath is one of the UKs leading universities with a vibrant and innovative academic community. Its small friendly campus overlooks the beautiful UNESCO world heritage city of Bath. The University has over 13,000 students and 2,700 staff. It was ranked 9 th in the Independent Complete University Guide 2009, the Guardian University Guide 2010, and The Sunday Times University Guide The University

83% of employed first degree graduates are in jobs in the top three employment groups compared with 67% nationally. About 60% of students undertake a business placement and 85.4% of them gain graduate level jobs, ranking Bath seventh in the UK. The drop-out rate of barely 1 in 20 is about half the level expected by the funding council. Six months after graduating, the median annual salary for Bath first degree UK graduates in full time employment is approximately £3,000 more than graduates nationally. Bath ranks 27 th in the THE-QS World Rankings for the employability of its graduates. Outstanding Students

The University The University has a research portfolio of £100 million. The 2008 Research Assessment Exercise confirmed the world class standing of Bath with the University ranked 18 th among the UKs 159 universities. 60 per cent of our research was judged to be world-leading or internationally excellent in the last Research Assessment Exercise in Prominent in Research

The University Bath runs one of the largest and most established placement schemes in UK Higher Education with nearly 60% of students undertaking a year long work placement. The University has a strong record of successful spin-out companies and an Innovation Centre which provides practical support and expertise to local technology enterprises as well as those that emerge from its students and academic research base. The University The University has a £35 million sports training village used by many thousands of people annually including the public, elite athletes, students and staff. In the run up to London 2012 Bath has been chosen by British Swimming as one of only five Intensive Training Centres. The University The Universitys international reputation makes it very popular with overseas students. Within our 9,500 full-time student community we have over 2,300 international students coming from over 100 different countries, making up over twenty percent of the student population. At undergraduate level, the majority of international students come to the University to study Management, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Economics and International Development, Architecture and Civil Engineering, or Electronic and Electrical Engineering. At postgraduate level, the most popular subject of study is Management, with more than half of total taught postgraduate students coming from overseas. Around 25% of our alumni are international, living in over 150 countries. The University attracts the most students from China, USA, India, Malaysia, Greece, Germany, France and Cyprus. The University We can help set up and run alumni chapters, which provide opportunities to network with other Bath graduates in your country or city. If you return to Bath, you are entitled to discounts on University accommodation and use of campus facilities. You are entitled to a 10 per cent discount on further study at the University, including online and distance learning courses. Alumni offer a wide range of discounted products, business services and holidays to other alumni. What can the University do for its international graduates? Your connection to the University doesnt end with graduation; there are a number of benefits and services available to you as an alumni.

Here are some examples of what Baths international students went on to do: International Careers A Singaporean BSc Business Management graduate, 2007, began work as a Trainee Lawyer at Holman, Fenwick and Willan in London A Malaysian BEng Mechanical Engineering graduate, 2006, went to work as a Business Analyst for McKinsey and Company in Kuala Lumpur A Chinese MSc Marketing graduate, 2007, found a role as an International Management Trainee working for Mercedes-Benz in China. An Indian Bsc Chemistry with Management graduate, 2008, went work as an Analyst for Deutsche Bank in Dubai A Chinese MSc Economics graduate, 2005, found a role in Beijing as a Macroeconomic Analyst for China Jianyin Investment Securities A Thai MSc Business Management graduate, 2008, found work in Bangkok as an HR Supervisor for Thai Oil

They provide a free CV feedback service and individual careers guidance appointments over the phone.
