+ Joy / Pleasure Words – Part 1 Keystone English 10 Vocabulary #4

+ Bliss (noun) Definition: Perfect happiness Context Sentence: My idea of bliss is a week at the beach with my husband and children.

+ Blissful (adjective) Definition: Very happy Context Sentence: The soldier’s reunion with his family was a blissful occasion.

+ Blithe (#1) (adjective) Definition: Merry; joyous Context Sentence: Hank’s blithe personality was just one of the reasons that people loved to be around him.

+ Blithe (#2) (adjective) Definition: heedless; oblivious Context Sentence: Stuart drove right through the intersection in blithe disregard of the Stop sign.

+ Buoy (verb) Definition: to raise the spirits of; to encourage Context Sentence: The teacher’s words of encouragement helped to buoy her students prior to the final exam.

+ Buoyant (#1) (adjective) Definition: cheerful Context Sentence: The radiant smile on Jan’s face told me that she was in a buoyant mood!
