TO WHAT EXTENT DOES GLOBALIZATION SHAPE IDENTITY  Individual Identity-Characteristics that make you distinct from other people.  Collective Identity – Characteristics shared by groups of people.  Think, pair and share :  1. How do you become a member of a collective?  2.How would a collective influence your individual identity?  3. List different factors that express what it means to be Canadian?

FACTORS THAT EXPRESS IDENTIY 1. Time: Relationships and experiences help shape our identity as we age. 2. Traditions: A repetitive action that is done for a purpose or has meaning. 3. Attire: The way we present ourselves makes a visible statement about our identity. 4. Relationship to Land: How we interact with our physical surroundings communicates a message about our identity.
