3 What is FREE STAR*? FREE STAR* is an experimental approach towards the implementation of a vendor neutral digital communication network. FREE STAR* encourages experimentation, construction, testing, and all of the founding principles upon which, amateur radio was developed.

4 FREE STAR* Components Open G2 – Communicates with Trust Server Dextra_srv – Communicates with reflectors and other gateways running dextra_srv Dstarrepeater – dstarrepeater software, which communicates with the sound card
