Different levels of warning Level 3: Very extreme weather have been forecasted, which may lead to major interruptions in the critical infrastructure. The public are recommended to search for more information through the internet, radio or TV. Level 2: Unusual weather development have been forecasted, which may lead to interruptions in the critical infrastructure. The public are recommended to search for more information through the internet, radio or TV. Level 1: Weather development have been forecasted which means some risk for interruptions in the critical infrastructure. No warning: No particular awareness of the weather is required.

CAP and related topics  Used at SMHI, but no technical implementation is done elsewhere.  Several actors within the crisis management system has indicated the use of CAP in coming development.  The task of the MSB (The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency) is to enhance and support capacities for preparedness for and prevention of emergencies and crises.  Several ongoing projects within areas of:  Terminology  Information  Situation Awareness System

Issues  High impact weather  The effect  How do the user interpret the information/warning?  ”Overalert”?  Change in order to become an updated warning?  Warnings based on return period?  Warning information is free  Cost for distribution through certain channels, for example sms?  Several actors issuing warnings in the future?
