Alpine Technical Delegates Update 2012 Crash Helmets The proposal from SRS will be implemented as a new rule for season 2013/14. Mandatory for all from 2014/2015 This new rule will be valid at least until the end of the season 2017/18. New future products, where the higher safety standard would be approved could be recommended by FIS, according to the procedures and regulations for the acceptance of innovations in competition equipment.

FIS will be providing approval numbers to manufacturers upon presentation of Certification (EN/ASTM) RACING SUITS – Art 5 Clarification – Suits and clothing underneath “must have a textile surface on the inside and the outside.” Also Undergarments must conform to air permeability requirements. New – Video Cams – Safety/Fairness/Media Rights 44

Canadian Snowsports Association Dave Pym Managing Director INSURANCE 101 – TD’S  ALL FIS TD’S ARE COVERED BY FIS LIABILITY POLICY WHILE ENGAGED OFFICIALLY ON BEHALF OF FIS  ALL CAN TD’S ARE ALSO COVERED UNDER CSA LIABILITY POLICY WHILE ENGAGED OFFICIALLY BY FIS, PROVIDED THEY ARE MEMBERS AND HAVE LIMITED EXCESS MEDICAL COVERAGE.  ALL CAN AND USA FIS EVENTS ARE FULLY COVERED BY EACH NATIONS LIABILITY POLICIES TO AMOUNTS GREATER THAN FIS REQUIREMENTS.  ANY TD TRAVELLING OUT OF COUNTRY NEEDS TO OBTAIN EXCESS MEDICAL, INCLUDING MOUNTAIN RESCUE AND REPATRIATION. 45

The double draw may be done electronically. New 9.5 – Public Draw Sanctions for missing or late – enrolled after 45 th position and ranked by FIS Points, plus a fine up to 999CHF. Repeat offenders fine can be increased to 5,000 CHF New – Top 6 athletes must remain in finish area until after protest period. Revised Nations Team Event Rules Revised City Event Rules – Moscow/Munich Note 3.9 Use of FIS On-Line Registration is Mandatory. 46
