 Title: Christ Crucified  Author: Francisco de Zurbaran  Date of Composition: c  Artistic Era: Baroque

I chose this painting because it shows how Jesus died on the cross for us to go to Heaven. If Jesus did not die and go to Heaven we would not be where we are today. Luckily we don’t have to worry about this. This as moved me to believe that I can trust Jesus to be there when I need him or someone to talk to.

 Title: African Beach  Author: Maria Fortuny  Date of Composition: c  Artistic Era: Romantic

I chose this painting for a few reasons. One reason is because, it shows that Africa has many features to it. Another reason is, it’s open and free. It’s not limited by its surroundings, because you can imagine what else is going on. Last reason is, who doesn’t like a beach painting. I do because I can imagine myself there having a good time.

 Title: Frozen Assets  Author: Diego Rivera  Date of Composition: c  Artistic Era: Modern

I chose this painting because it shows an average man in what seems to be New York City just living as everyone else. I can relate to this because I am just an average person living in an average world just like everyone else. I’m not special, and not above anybody.
