The Iranian Revolution By: Pete Tulyapronchote

What Are the Historical Events That Lead Up to Power and Control in the Iranian Revolution? Pt1 When Britain came into Iran, they took over a part of Iran’s oil for themselves. Because of this The Shah had to make Mossadegh the Prime Minister when he was deliver the Shah to the communists. Eventually the Shah supporters took over and overthrew Mossadegh, and Mossadegh went into hiding. He eventually caught.

What Are the Historical Events That Lead Up to Power and Control in the Iranian Revolution? Pt2 When the The Shah promised launched a revolution in Iran, he received 95% percent of the votes in an election, and he was able to launch that revolution. In 1963, he was accused of a puppet of foreign countries so, a riot broke out.

What external powers manipulated the events in Iran? When Britain and the Soviet Union Invaded the Iran in 1941, they had to protect Iran from the Germans, because they needed their oil. After the was over, Britain used a large fraction of the oil to export to other countries and made more profit than the royal Iranians.

Because oil was a scarce resource in the world and Iran had a lot of oil, the U.S. manipulated the Shah to making a profit out of the country’s oil. What role did fighting over scarce resources play in the conflict?

What role did economic and/or social injustice play in the conflict? In 1973, when the Shah decided to quadruple the prices of the oil, he tried to get more profit out of the oil. The Shah used his money to pursue a military country for Iran.

Who were some of the Iranian groups involved in the conflict?/Different Perspectives The citizens of Iran: They knew that the The Shah was corrupt and needed a fait government for Iran. The British and U.S.: They wanted to keep the corrupt The Shah so that he can provide them with more oil. Oil was a resource that they needed so they used him to get that oil. Anti Shah: Wanted to get the Shah out of the country for being corrupt

Who were some of the Iranian groups involved in the conflict?/Different Perspectives The Shah supporters: They wanted to keep the Shah in power. They liked the profits that he gained from the British from giving away his oil.
