SQUARE ROOTS AND THEOREM OF PYTHAGORAS REVIEW DAY FOUR

A square and a rectangle have the same perimeters. The length of a side of a square is 2x + 3. The length of the rectangle is 4x + 1 and the width is x + 1. What is the perimeter of the square and the rectangle? Solve for x: 25 – 4x = - 3x 3 On a number line, point S is the largest inter value that is less than the square root of 201. Point Z is the largest integer value that is less than negative the square root of 50. What is the distance between point S and Z?

Write out the first 20 square numbers and their square roots. Write out the formula for the Theorem of Pythagoras. Write out the formula for area of a triangle. Write out the formulas for area and perimeter of a square. Write out the formulas for area and perimeter of a rectangle. Write out the formula for the area of a circle.

A 2 + B 2 = C 2 Used to find missing side lengths of right triangles Pythagorean Triples Word Problems – multi-step (finding a missing length and then finding area or perimeter) Using ordered pairs to find the length of a diagonal.

The points (4, 1) and (4, - 3) are adjacent vertices of a rectangle. Two of the sides of the rectangle have a length of 10 units. What is the length of the diagonal? The figure shows a square inscribed in a circle. The are of the circle is 81m. What is the area of the circle? a b c d.179.8
