Ecosystem Specialist Project Details

Your Challenge  You are an environmental biologist. Your task is to research one type of ecosystem found in the world using encyclopedias, resource books, your Science textbook, and approved internet sites. Your job as a biologist is to explain to the public why this type of ecosystem is important.

Questions to Ponder  Where is this type of ecosystem located within the world and/or the United States?  What are the living and non-living parts of the ecosystem you specialize in?  Why are they important to this ecosystem? How are those parts related? What are their roles?  What are some ways that this type of ecosystem can change? What are the effects of these changes?  How can we, as guardians of the Earth, protect or restore this type of ecosystem?
