Conference Time Meet with each teacher for a maximum of 5 min. If you’d like to meet longer with each teacher, please feel free to make an appointment for a later date/time.

Tips to help your child succeed: Get a good night’s sleep.

Success Tip #2 Eat breakfast (either at home or in the school cafeteria- free of charge)

Success Tip #3 Be on time to school and prepared with backpack, pens, pencils, paper, and agenda book (provided by Title One)

Success Tip #4 Ask questions

Success Tip #5 Take advantage of after school tutoring/activi ties

Success Tip #6 Limit or eliminate TV/phone use during the week (replace it with a puzzle or book or educational TV show/movie)

Success Tip #7 Make sure your child has the proper uniform on everyday (and if he/she will not be wearing the uniform for ANY reason, send child with an excuse note)

How can I help my child be successful academically? Read nightly (30-45 minutes) Go over agenda (what did your child do in each class?) Ask to see homework (you don't have to know what it is, just ask to see it to show you have an interest) Follow up with teachers- (don't wait until you hear from your child's teacher) CALL or STOP BY to introduce yourself/check-in 2011 Williams/Canales
