THE FISHING LINE Calling all Little Fishers Parents! Please join us for Parent Coffee/Tea\every Thursday at 9:00am. Just stop by to chat with other LFP parents over a cup of coffee/tea so we can get to know one another! We will visit in the Fellowship Hall. CHILDREN WELCOME! Last week we had our very first VIP parent coffee. We discussed the needs for our upcoming Thanksgiving Feast/Scholastic Book Fair in November and the needs for the Spring Fling Carnival on March 1, Florence Tang and Michelle Petrovic will be co- chairing the Carnival. Thank you ladies and the other parents that so willingly signed up to assist with all the upcoming events this school year. We are so blessed for each and every one of you. PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO COME and see the parade of costumes beginning at 9:30 sharp in the gym. We ask that all costumes be fun, NOT SCARY, for our children!! (No Devil, Monster, Witch, or Ghost costume, please) The party sign-up sheet will be posted on your child’s classroom. Please check with your child’s teacher to see where she may need assistance. We will not be doing fall portraits this year due to a decline in our orders these past couple of years. We will have Spring/Graduation portraits made in our second semester. Come join us for a free “Extreme Family Makeover” Parenting Seminar by Mark A. Holman, author of Home”, a national and international ministry focusing on helping to build strong, faith filled families. Mark is a speaker for Focus on the Family, husband, father, and pastor. It will be held at Fishers of Men Lutheran Church on Sunday, November 2 from 12:45-2:45. Childcare will be provided. Register by ing and let us know how many adults and how many children will be needing childcare. For more information, please call the church office at Mark your calendar for LFP Spirit Night at Spring Creek Barbeque on Wednesday, October 22 from 5-9pm. We will have prizes from Spring Creek for the class with the highest participation. Teachers will be passing our rolls to everyone. Please check with your child’s teacher on the time she will be working her shift. The larger the turnout we have, the better the donation will be from Spring Creek. This will make our 4 th year working with them. We are very thankful for their support. If you cannot stay and eat there, they have “To Go” as well. Please wear your Little Fishers T-shirts that evening. REMINDER! Tuition is due by 1 st of each month. A late fee will be assessed if payment is not made by the 5 th. Parents, please remember that TOTS is over at 2:45pm and Soccer Shots is over at 2:35pm. If you are late, a late pickup fee will be charged to your account. We will continue to collect Labels for Education each month. KEEP SAVING! We have a box near the entrances for you do drop them off.
