PATHWAYS ANIMAL SCIENCE PLANT SCIENCE AG MECHANICS AG STRUCTURES

Animal Science Help care for animals in our livestock facility Have the opportunity to make ice cream, butter, and dissect a fetal pig Learn about the different breeds of animals and how to properly care and manage them Learn about different types of small animals.

Plant Science Utilize 2 greenhouses to grow and manipulate plants Use various types of school equipment to develop, maintain and improve landscape areas Learn laboratory skills that will benefit you in upper-level courses and college

Ag Mechanics Learn how engines operate. Learn different types of welding techniques. Learn how to work safely in the shop. Learn how to work safely in the shop. Build utility trailers or other neat projects!

Ag Structures Utilize power tools to create sheds, doghouses, signs and other woodworking projects. Gain basic electrical wiring, plumbing, & masonry skills.

Trips Various field trips will be offered with your ag pathway courses including: Citrus Trip If you join a CDE you have the opportunity to compete other teams and win money. –State Convention- University of Delaware –Regionals- Springfield, Massachusetts –Nationals- Indianapolis, Indiana

Other Activities Banquets- In February we honor our Greenhand members with our annual Greenhand Ceremony. Then in April we recognize our chapter degree recipients and our other outstanding members. State Ice Skating- In January, we join the state FFA in a day of ice skating. End of the Year Picnic- At the end of the year we wind down with a fun chapter activity. State Fair- Take part in the FFA barnyard and exhibits.
