In which direction do people and goods seem to be moving through Ohio? Where are most of the early settlements in Ohio?
Problem: You are a farmer in central Ohio. You can make a lot of $$ if you can sell your extra crops back East. What are your options to transport your goods back East?

You can now get your goods to either the Ohio River or Lake Erie faster and easier than you could by wagon. Think of some other ways a canal might change life in your town.
