Period 3 will view a video featuring Stuart Scott, who receives the Jimmy V Perseverance Award and discusses his longstanding battle with cancer. This is a video that embraces the belief that we should live our lives to their fullest. Please note: this speech is exceptionally impassioned and moving. For many of our students, cancer is an end. For those with a history, this video could prompt emotions should be validated, but also balanced with the belief that not all stories like these end tragically. The point is to work with what you have and make the best of every moment.
