 ebooks are digital copies of books that can be accessed from home via the internet  Our school has a small (but ever growing) collection that can be accessed via Horizon  ebooks have features that allow for interaction such as bookmarking and searching

 Children should be supervised at all times while using the internet  Make sure that your child never gives out any personal information

 Our school’s ebooks can be accessed via our school’s web site  From the web site click on ‘Faculty and Staff’  Find Marci Gerrish (under support staff) and click on the icon that looks like the Earth  Open my wiki using Mozilla Firefox  Click on ‘Resources for Parents’ and Horizon

 Once you are in Horizon click on ‘Follett Shelf’  Logon to Follett Shelf by using the following logon information  Your child’s teacher’s last name  Password: BEARS

 When you get into Follett shelf  Click on a book that you would like to read to open it  All books have unlimited access so you don’t need to check them out  The bottom buttons allow you to change the view  The buttons on the left include, table of contents, search, highlighting, and notes
