OPERA HOUSES Opera started in France in the 1600’s. By 1700 Paris had opera houses that were visited by people from far away.

Opera Houses Today there are many opera houses in France. Some of the famous ones are Opera Garnier and Opera Bastille.

Fancy Opera Garnier is very fancy. It is very decorated on the outside. It has a 6 ton chandelier on the inside.

Characters Mr. Reinhart visited our school. He showed us an opera play and a video of characters singing an opera.

What you need… You need to have a costume, singing talent, scenery, and be able to act. Mr. Reinhart’s daughter started singing at 6 months old.
