Insurance Policies Are you happy with your insurance premium? Are you happy with the choice of Insurers available to you? What can you do about it?

What do Insurers look for when considering an Insurance Risk and how much to charge?

Business Description Established Business Low turnover of Staff Well trained Staff Management of Safety -Employee Handbooks Drivers Handbooks Risk Assessments Method Statements COSHH Reports Health & Safety Policy

What should I be looking for in an Insurer? Reliable solvent company – cheapest is not always the best Employers Liability Limit of Indemnity - £5 million minimum £10 million is normal Is this enough?

What do I do if an incident occurs? Inform your insurers as soon as you are aware of a potential claim. Make sure your documentation is up to scratch. Let your insurers deal with it, do not prejudice their position. Happy, valued staff are less likely to sue you! ? Do you carry D&O cover?
