Presentation transcript:

 Pure science- is an idea that doesn’t effect humanity immediately. Ex. Fast cars  Applied science- something that immediately effects humanity. e x.medicines  Inferences- these are logical explanations. Ex the car stopped because it ran out of gas  Fair tests- is when you change one variable and keep the rest controlled. Ex. iv,you only change this variable.

 Iv- independent variable, what you change  Dv- dependant variable, what changes in the result of what you changed  Cv-constant variable, never changes.

 Bar graphs are graphs used when your not using any time in the experiment. Ex. Amount of wins this season  Line graphs show data over time. Ex. amount of wins in a month

 Qualitative – when your not using numbers. Ex. There are dogs running  Quantitative-when you use numbers ex. there are 3 dogs running

 Mean-the average. Ex1+2+3=_ divided by 3  Median-the middle ex.123=2  Mode- most appeared ex 1232= 2

 A theory is a hypothesis tested many times with the same results  A hypothesis is a if and then statement, and also an educated guess

 A controlled group is a group that you keep the same and a experimental group is a group that you do change.  Ex. Dog that eats regular dog food  Ex. Dog that eats new improved dog food
