Art and Music There are many traditional dances in China. One of the main traditional dances in China is the lion dance. People dress up in colour clothing and mimic a lion. This event usually happens in Chinese New Year. The lion dance can be learned by anyone. Some traditional art and craft in China are embroidery, jades, folk toys, calligraphy and shadow puppetry. Chinese cultural music includes opera and instrumental music. The instruments are made out of bamboo, stones and wood.

Cuisine (food) Appetiser Dim Sum is an appetiser in China. Dim Sum is very common in China. Dim Sum has a variety of dumplings and buns. One of the most well known and common dumpling in China is the prawn dumpling. Main Pork with sweet and sour sauce and rice. Contains pork, sweet and sour sauce, pineapple and red and green peppers. Dessert The most common dessert in China is the mango pudding. The ingredients needed for the mango pudding are mangoes, coconut milk, gelatine, white sugar and hot water.
