Some of the training providers who supported us  CG Partnership  Skegness College of Vocational Training  Steadfast Training, Wainfleet  Boston College  First College  Dyslexia Association  Skegness Academy for Skills

Who were our beneficiaries ? 179 people based in Skegness and Mablethorpe who wanted support to develop their skills and/or gain employment 128 of the people were helped with skills development 51 of the people were over 45 and looking for support to find work – some of this support was via training.

What sort of Skills Development? Short ‘Vocational’ courses (e.g. Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, First Aid) Mentor Training Basic IT Training Literacy training Confidence Building and CV workshops Dyslexia Support Taster courses (e.g. Nail Art, e-bay, Silk Painting, Sugar Craft etc)

What is the impact of the project ? We have found that at least 33 of our beneficiaries have secured employment 88 of our beneficiaries have gained qualifications by attending a course funded by the project 55 of our beneficiaries have progressed to other accredited training programmes 178 of our 179 beneficiaries completed their programme of support.

Who delivered the project ?

Some views from beneficiaries “ I’ve gained a lot of confidence since doing the courses, it has been a big help” “Vicky did a CV for me which helped focus on a job search which enabled me to gain a good full time position” “Make the project nationally available in more areas….try and get other courses as well” “People need services like this for help advice, training…it has given myself a different and better outlook…” “Good co-ordination is the key to motivating people to help themselves….” “ Helped with CV got three employment choices..”

Views from Organisations who’s service users have benefited from the project “ The CLP enabled a lot of our parents to get paid work in areas such as catering.” “This has been an excellent resource for all individuals who have attended the ‘Confidence Course’…” “ We all thought the service was excellent pity it has all stopped” “Vicky was extremely helpful to us”

What next ? This project has been instrumental in raising the profile of learning on the coast. When the project started learning facilities in Skegness and Mablethorpe were scarce … now we have …
