22nd May What is “ECOMANAGMENT Lower Austria”: It is a demand side voucher scheme to motivate enterprises & municipalities to begin the process of environmental management Strategic goal –Reduce the environmental impact of public and private businesses –Increase the number of firms with EMAS, ISO 14001, ISO –Support environmental innovation Annual goal –150 participants per year –450 measure in the databank –15 new implemented EMSs Information on „Ecomanagement LA“

22nd May Simple structure: 3 levels  Pioneer: Small enterprises and small municipalities receive 2 days of funded project consultation -> result: 1 measure in database  Profi: Medium enterprises, tourism enterprises, education centres and municipalities receive 4 days of funded consultation -> 3 measures in database  Champion: Industrial firms, large municipalities and hospitals receive up to 8 days of funded consultation -> 3 measures in data base & EMAS + ISO Structure

22nd May Our success in images We save the drinking water for bath tubs per year Enough gas for households for 1 year! We save the residual waste of 330 persons per year and the hazardous waste of 720 persons per year Enough electricity for nearly 1700 family homes for 1 year! We save the CO2 of cars / year
