UPDATE SAFEGUARDING 1

SAFEGUARDING The Skills Funding Agency (SFA), in consultation with  The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS)  The Department for Education (DfE)  The Home Office considers young people who are apprentices to be adults because they have entered the world of full time employment. 2

SAFEGUARDING However, we still need to:  Remain vigilant about potential safeguarding issues  Be aware of any signs of abuse or neglect  Report anything of concern to Lesley Ellis (ITS Safeguarding Officer) on

SAFEGUARDING Abuse Is a form of maltreatment of a person. Somebody may abuse or neglect a person by inflicting harm, or by failing to act to prevent harm. Types of abuse include:  Physical abuse  Emotional abuse  Sexual abuse  Neglect 4
