 The Center on Innovations in Learning (CIL) is housed at Temple University Institute for Schools and Society, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania  The Academic Development Institute (ADI), Lincoln, Illinois, is the partnering organization Partner Organizations

CIL Mission and Purpose  The Center will (a) increase the capacity of state education agencies (SEAs) to stimulate, select, implement, and scale up learning innovations in local education agencies (LEAs) and schools to improve learning outcomes for all students; and (b) increase the capacity of regional comprehensive centers (RCCs) to provide technical assistance to SEAs relative to the Center’s scope of responsibility.

Why Learning Innovations?  Learning innovations replace currently accepted standards of curricular and instructional practice with new practices demonstrated to be more effective or more efficient in the context in which they are applied.  The Center will work with RCCs to build SEAs’ capacity to stimulate, select, implement, and scale up innovations in learning.  The Center will focus on the school and classroom as the principal points of entry for learning innovations, with SEAs and LEAs playing significant roles in bringing the innovations to the school.

CIL Strategies  There are 7 strategies within the CIL program of work.  Four are content strategies, and three include Indistar.
