Gay Marriage Discrimination at it’s worse

What’s going on? Homosexuals are currently being discriminated against because of their sexual preference Sexual preference is not a choice but how someone feels. Who are we to tell them what they feel is wrong?

Christianity’s involvement A huge part of homosexual discrimination is Christians “John 13:35 – By this shall all [men] that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one another”, it is believed that God loves all his children, including his homosexual children

Why we should stop it It is not fair for homosexuals to be scared and treated unfairly over something that is beyond their control Think of the civil rights movement, when the minority prevailed. What’s different now?

States approved Massachusetts (May 17, 2004) Connecticut (Nov. 12, 2008) Iowa (Apr ) Vermont (Sep. 1, 2009) New Hampshire (Jan. 1, 2010) New York (June 24, 2011) Washington (Dec. 9, 2012) Maine (Dec. 29, 2012) Maryland (Jan. 1, 2013) California (June 28, 2013) Delaware (July 1, 2013) Minnesota (Aug. 1, 2013) Rhode Island (Aug. 1, 2013) Hawaii (Dec. 2, 2013) Illinois (law will take effect June 1, 2014)

Annotated bibliography Picture 1 I chose this picture because it is the equality symbol for supporting gay marriage. Picture 2 I chose this picture because I was talking about “what” and the confused look on her face made me think of how I feel when I hear people talking about gay marriage being a sin, plus it adds some comic relief. Picture 3 I chose this picture because it kind of shows my views on gay marriage. Picture 4 marriage-discrimination/ I chose this picture for its particular slide because it goes along with what I was saying about civil rights, not to mention it’s kind of catchy. Picture 5 I chose this picture because it shows which states have and have not legalized gay marriage. The quote on slide 3 I wanted to quote a bible verse to show that it says “god loves all his children” Information for slide 5
