Global warming Created by: Natalia Gilecka

G lobal warming is very important problem in the world. I t has already affected human health around the world. Global warming becomes when the earth heats up. It happens when greenhouse gases trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere, which increases the temperature. It hurts many people, animals and plants. Carbon dioxide and other air pollution that is collected in the atmosphere like a thickening blanket, trap the sun's heat and caus the planet to warm up.

Global w arming is caused by many things. The causes are split u p into two groups : man-made or anthropogenic causes and natural causes. Natural causes  release of methane gas from arctic tundra and wetlands. Methane is a greenhouse gas, that traps heat in the earth's atmosphere;  the earth goes through a cycle of climate changes. This climate changes usually last about 40,000 years. Man-made causes pollution Burning fossil fuels is one thing that causes pollution. Fossil fuels are fuels made of organic matter such as coal or oil. When fossil fuels are burned they give off a green house gas called CO2 problems ; population More people mean more food, and more methods of transportation, that means more methane. Because more food is needed we have to raise food. Animals like cows are a source of food which means more manure and methane; transportation More people mean more cars, and more cars mean more pollution. Since CO2 contributes to global warming, the increase in population makes the problem worse because we breathe out CO2.

Global warming predictions A map of predicted global warming at the end of the 21st century accourding to the HADCM3 climate model with a business-as-usual emissions scenario (IS92a).

Consequences the earth is getting hotter; scientists overwhelmingly agree that temperature will keep going up if we fail to dramatically reduce of global warming pollution; m ore severe floods and droughts lead to a rise in human health problems and the spread of tropical illnesses.

Solutions How can we cut global warming pollution? we should reduce pollution from vehicles and power plants ; we should put existing technologies for building cleaner cars and more modern electricity generators into widespread use ; w e can increase our reliance on renewable energy sources such as wind, sun and geothermal ; we can manufacture more efficient appliances and conserve energy.

Global warming and rubbish Global warming is a fact. The main reason of increase is CO2 produced by people. Everyone takes part in it. We produce about 320 kg of rubbish every year. We should know more to help our environment. We ought to segregate our rubbish at home. If we do it, we will help our planet – Earth. The gases from rubbish, which lays for years in the forest, are disengaging to atmosphere and increasing global warming.

Global warming on Podkarpacie Province Certainly, the problem appears in our region. We find information, which tells that none of the cities in our region don’t participate in the Climatic Alliance. The governments of our province look after the environment – they create new bicycle paths, which people use very often and give up from travelling by car. In fact, they decrease amount of poison gases emitted to atmosphere. However, they should think about participation in the Climatic Alliance, which realizes wider operations concerning the decreasing influence on global warming.
