Welcome to London’s Notting Hill Carnival. It is the last weekend of August and it is the carnival time in Notting Hill in London.
Every year this carnival takes place in the streets: a huge, exciting, noisy street party.
Musicians and dancers come here from all over the world.
Two million people come here every year for a really good time.
About forty-five different groups of musicians play loud Caribbean music. People listen and sing and dance.
There are over four hundred food stalls here. A lot of the food is Caribbean too- hot and spicy! People eat and drink and talk with their friends.
There are clothes stalls here, too, with colourful carnival T-shirts and sweatshirts, baseball caps and carnival bags.
A lot of the dancers wear colourful costumes - red, yellow, green- all colours. They want to win the Carnival Costume Competition. Come and have a great time this weekend at Notting Hill.
