Nick Bloom, Applied Econometrics, Winter 2010 TIMETABLE GUIDELINES January (deadlines underlined) Monday 11th – Intro & Identification (part I) Wednesday 13th – Intro & Identification (part II) and project guidance Wednesday 20 th and Monday 25 th - Presentation of preliminary research ideas (5 slides per person) Wednesday 27 th and Thursday 28 th – First round of tutorials Friday 29th – hand in a 5 page written outline of your research project by end of day February Monday 1 st and Wednesday 3 rd Second round of tutorials Wednesday 17 th and Monday 22 nd – Individual presentations (10 minutes presentation & Q&A, 5 mins feedback) Tuesday 23 rd and Wednesday 24 th – Third round of tutorials March Monday 8 th March and Wednesday 10 th March – Final Individual presentations (10 mins presentation and Q&A each) Friday 12 th – final projects deadline, 4:00pm

So projects should be: –A maximum of 14 pages including everything (exceutive summary, figures, footnotes, tables, references etc…) –Text should be at 12-point font, with 1.5 spacing and 1 inch margins at left/right and 2 inches at top/bottom –The first page should be title, name and an executive summary

He will also have tutorials (like me) to help with Stata.
