The contents page has a bang index listed in a column so it is easy to find the band you want to read about. There is also an editor’s letter which is written in first person. It uses informal language which therefore makes it more personal and personifies the magazine. Band names, in studio pictures, concerts and instruments are typical images found in the contents page.
Most of the advertisements are music related, advertising free gig tickets, new albums or band merchandise. The most frequent being album advertisements Which is good for the bands being featured in the magazine. Albums that have been reviewed on previous pages can also be found advertised throughout the magazine.
The albums being features on this review page also show images of what the album cover looks like. This allows the reader to recognise the cover and therefore is more likely to buy it after reading a good review. The page is set out neatly in block columns but uses the colour yellow to add excitement to the page as yellow is a bright colour and is associated with energy.
