Perfusion Use Case1 Contrast Perfusion in CT/MR IHE use case for Enhanced MR and Enhanced CT

Perfusion Use Case2 Description This use case refers to CT/MR Perfusion imaging that basically creates a stack of images at different timeslots, in order to demonstrate the (selective) uptake of a contrast agent over time. The images shall be stored with indices along their position in the stack and the time. The use case assumes that all these images are present as frames in one Enhanced CT object or one Enhanced MR object.

Perfusion Use Case3 Selection Criteria apply SOP CLASS UID : Enhanced CT Image or Enhanced MR Image Image Type and Frame Type: –Value 1: ORIGINAL Frame Reference DateTime (0018,9151) Temporal Position “Number” Index ?(= type 3) is used as dimension attribute

Perfusion Use Case4 Images Type and Frame Type Values ImageFrame Value 1 ORIGINAL Value 3 PERFUSION Value 4 --

Perfusion Use Case5 Requirements for creators Creator provides indices for: 1.Stack ID 2.InStackPositionNumber 3.TemporalPositionIndex

Perfusion Use Case6 Functional Requirements for Display 1.Support Enhanced CT/MR SOP Class. 2.Support display according Dimensions. 3.Provide at least one viewport for display of frames with the same InStackPositionNumber-Index. More viewports may be used for displaying images for other InStackPositionNumbers. 4.Be able to scroll the images by TemporalPositionIndex (time related movie).

Perfusion Use Case7 Position = 1Position = 2Position =..Position = n Time = 1 Time = 2 Time =.. Time = n Suggested display layout for use case support scroll

Perfusion Use Case8 Time = 1Time = 2Time =..Time = n Position = 1 Position = 2 Position =.. Position = n Suggested display layout for alternative use case support scroll

Perfusion Use Case9 Requirements for displays Display order, according dimensions, with following restrictions: InStackPositionNumber: show in as many viewports as available (selected by) the user, in index order. TemporalPositionIndex : scroll in the related viewport, in index order Display the values of the dimension attributes, time attributes and contrast attributes, per discussion

Perfusion Use Case10 Open issues TemporalPositionIndex is type 3, IHE + requirement Contrast Usage display attributes useful? –for MR? –for CT?
