Saul Bass By Jack Gladman

Fact file Born – May 8 th 1920 in New York city. Died - April 25 th 1996 Los Angeles Married to – Elaine Bass 1961 to 1996

Oceans 11 In this Saul Bass incaptoelates the scene within the title sequence he does this by his use of bright vibrant colors and pixelated style of the text. Gives of a impression that the setting will be Las Vegas as the Bright colors and pixel font is similar to that of signs on the famous Las Vegas strip. It also has undertone relating to gambling which is what Las vegas is famous for.

Anatomy of murder Saul designed this in a way to intrigue his audience he did this by focusing in on individual giving the impression that the limbs were decapitated. This created a chilling effect most appropriate the thriller which this film is a part of. Another element which he uses to add to the chilling effect is the color choice the use of red immediately to me in this genre signifies blood. Also his use of the color black which is associated with darkness and despair.

vertigo Gives of aura of mystery I feel that is done to set the tone for the film which is unusual for Saul Bass I do however believe that it relates to the film in that I believe the film much like the title sequence will be unpredictable.
