Camera Check Out Make sure to sign out the camera you want on the sign in/out sheet located inside the closet When you return the camera, make sure to have Mrs. Harmeyer initial the sheet If the battery has drained while you are using it, please plug them in to the chargers so they are ready for whoever needs them next

You Will Need… The camera with which you took your pictures White USB cord (should be located in the top pocket of the camera bags or in the blue organizer in the closet) Depending on the number of pictures, double check the battery strength

Connect Camera to Computer Insert the larger end of the USB cord into a USB port on the computer Locate the port on the camera which fits the opposite end of the USB cord and plug in that end

Power Turn the camera on The Status screen on the camera should be flashing BUSY

Image Download Using the start menu, double click My Computer An icon should be present reading the title of the camera or phone you have connected – double click it You should now see thumbnails of your images (if not, change the type of view from the above menu) You can now transfer the images to whatever file or folder where you wish to keep the images

Delete Make sure to delete the images off the camera so we don’t clog it up with unnecessary images

Disconnect Turn the power off on the camera Disconnect the USB cable from the camera and the computer Return everything to its proper place in the camera bag and return the camera to the closet. Remember to identify on the sign out sheet that you have returned it.

Transfer to Yearbook Avenue Open the yearbook avenue site using your unique username and password Under the Create menu at the top of the page, click on Image Library If you get a Welcome message, just click Okay On the left, click on the activity menu Once that page loads, choose upload from the top menu

Transfer to Yearbook Avenue For the purpose of this assignment, click on the Ads folder so it is highlighted. Click New under categories and add a folder with the name of one group member. Then click on the name you have added. On the right, click Upload.

A small box will open; click the Add Files button Locate where you have saved your images (your files, the desktop, off the camera, etc.) Click on the image(s) you want to upload and click open As soon as you click open, the images will start to upload Transfer to Yearbook Avenue

Once the images are loaded, they should be ready to use in the yearbook. Transfer to Yearbook Avenue
