MAIN Classroom Rules 1.Cell phones OFF and not visible. 2. Raise hand to speak and wait to be called on. 3. Stay seated in your assigned seat 4. NO food/drink or candy allowed (it will be thrown away) 5. Follow directions the first time given 6. Be prepared for class 7. Respect peers and things in the classroom

Unwritten Rules –Students shall not horse play in the classroom. (spinning in chairs) –Students are dismissed by the teacher, not the bell. Respect everyone and everything in the classroom. –Use appropriate language with everyone. –No name calling, bullying or witty remarks –Vandalism will not be tolerated at all automatic referral to administration.

Unwritten Rules Do not touch my desk, computer, lab equipment, bulletin boards or projects without my permission. No Selling of ANYTHING IN THE CLASSROOM!!! Leaving the Classroom Students are not allowed to leave the classroom except for an emergency. “ I left my hw in cafeteria…in my last period.” Can I go print it in the library. “No students in the hall” -adminstration“No students in the hall” -adminstration Please let me know if you have any special medical needs or prone to conditions.

Tardies Tardy Log Tardy means BODY not inside the classroom when the bell rings. Tardy student must sign the Tardy Log with full name and period then take a seat After 3 tardies in one month Detention & a call home

1.When students miss class, it is the responsibility of the student to check online to see what assignment was missed. 2. Make-up work is due no later than two class period days after returning to school nd and 3 rd period only!!! If you are locked out it is an unexcused absence and any assignment missed will be graded as an F. I can give you the CW but it will not be graded. Making up Work

Homework No late Homework will be accepted. (I have 215 students.) No Homework accepted via / jumpdrive. If you have computer issues the Media Center is open before and after school

Make-ups Only before or afterschool. Student has 72 hrs to make it up after that time it may not be made up and will be inputted as a Zero. Let me know when you plan to come Quizzes may be given at any time. They may be announced in advance or they may be a “pop” quiz. Classes with discipline issues and/or tardiness may receive daily quizzes in order to focus students’ attention. Tests/Quizzes

Plagiarism/ Cheating Plagiarism/Cheating will not be tolerated under any circumstances. If a student is caught plagiarizing/cheating, will receive an F for that assignment and an F in conduct for the nine weeks. They will receive a failure notice immediately for the F in conduct that will reflect as their conduct grade for the 9 week period & I will call home on the spot. This is a science department policy.

Materials Students are expected to bring their materials to class every day. If a student needs to borrow a basic item from the teacher (pencil, paper, etc.), it should be done BEFORE the bell rings (student will not be penalized). Interrupting class after the bell has rung to ask for materials will result in a classroom infraction notice.

Checking my grade Students should check their grades frequently by accessing the school’s online grade book. If there are any discrepancies in your grade, you need to approach me before or after class. It is the student’s responsibility to monitor the discrepancy situation until it is fully corrected!

Textbooks No textbook should be left in any class. The classroom is not a locker. Students who lose their textbook or return it damaged will be responsible for payment.
