Presentation transcript:

 Modernizing agriculture and investing in technology are the main approaches for rural farmers, so that we can overcome the challenges of feeding more and more people while maintaining or reducing area, generation revenue for the new era.  Genetic engineering in food can be used to produce totally new substances such as proteins and other nutrients. The genetic modification foods can be used to increase their medical value, thus making available homegrown editable vaccines.

 It would help predict diseases.  It would help develop therapies and drugs to treat debasing diseases like cancer.  It would help farmers save more money, they would not need to buy pesticides for plants.  Higher crops yields.  Crops can grow in arson environments.

 Crops like potato, tomato, soybean and rice are currently being genetically engineered to obtain new strain better nutrition qualities and increase yield. The genetically engineered crops are expected to have a capacity to grow on lands that are presently not suitable for cultivation. The manipulation of the their genes in crops is expected to improve their nutritional value as also their rate of growth.  Engineered seeds are resistant to pests and can survive in a relatively harsh climate conditions. The recently identified plant gene known as at-DBF2, when inserted in tomato and tobacco cells is to increase their endurance to harsh soil and climatic conditions. Biotechnology can be used to slow down the process of food spoilage. It can thus result In fruits and vegetables having a greater shelf life.

 Virus is used to vector t get genes inside some fear that enough virulence factors have been silence danger.  There has been deaths in gene therapies traits  Ps unusual gene may cause more or a higher risk to allergic reactions on consumers.

 In my opinion as a scientist yes, I will say yes because the risks are small compare to the benefits that genetic engineering offers us. It would help us overcome challenges of feeding more people and overcome the world hunger, plus it offers us a more healthier food wit more proteins and chemicals that are good for us.
