Presentation transcript:

Youth in Government 2014 “Democracy must be learned by each generation”

 Video press is a group that uses technological tools to create a final presentation of interviews and news updates to let you know what’s going on around you during Youth in Government.  We have people who are out there gathering information, talking to participants, and finding out what important changes are going on during the session.  Our job is to put all the information together and present it to you.

 In Video Press we will brainstorm ideas for fun and informative videos we can make for the final presentation. During the first and second day, we will collect information and video footage for the final presentation. We will also edit and run through how we will present our videos. We will present on the second day, so the majority of our work goes into the video on the first and second day.

 Interviewer—will interview candidates, delegates and officers, both on camera and/or live.  Cinematographer*—responsible for setting up and operating cameras, microphones, etc.  Script writers—write questions for interviews and plans the final presentation.  Photographer—responsible for taking pictures for the final presentation. *Cinematographer is a fancy name for cameraman

 Brainstorm ideas  Write scripts  Start interviewing delegates and officers  Start filming footage related to the chosen topics  Begin editing videos. - Sometimes we will even work at the hotel to make sure we are ready to present the next day, it’s unlikely but if we are running late we might have to.

 Finish interviewing delegates and officers  Finish filming footage related to the chosen topics  Finish editing the videos.  Complete the final presentation and rehearse what everyone’s job will be during the presentation

 Since we have already presented to the Youth in Government 2014 delegates, we can take pictures in the Round House to have as keepsake’s of YiG. We can send these pictures to your school so that you can make a poster to be displayed at your school, to go in your school yearbook, etc.

 We would love to have more participants. We are always looking for people who are interested in Video Press because having a wide variety of people will make for more ideas.
