Make sure to look your best!

Images and words on clothing should not have references to sex, drugs, or alcohol nor profanity. No hats, bandanas, sunglasses In order to register, you electronically signed and agreed to the NISD Student Handbook. To see details of dress code see page 36 of the student handbook. Save the midriff for the red carpet. No skin at the belly or back!

Ms. Miles or Lasher won’t get out the measuring tape, keep it classy! Mid-thigh shorts, dresses, skirts. Any holes in clothes, also below mid-thigh. Leave your PJs and house-shoes at home!!! Do not allow undergarments to show in any outfit, top or bottom. Bro tanks and spaghetti strap tanks are for the beach not EHS!! Whhhhhaaaaattteerrrrr thhhoooossseee?

Dress Code Procedures When a student arrives to class OUT of dress code… 1 st violation – Student is sent to AP office. Student will have the opportunity to change and return to class. AP will document and contact parent. 2 nd Violation – Student sent to AP. Student will remain in ISS. 3 rd Violation - Student sent to AP. Repeat violations will receive additional consequences.

Tardy Procedures When a student arrives to class late… 1.Go to a tardy station. Front Office- 1 st floor AP Office - 2 nd Floor 2.Return to class with a printed pass. Eaton HS is a big place, but if Serena can get Drake, then you can get to class on time.

Tardy Consequences per 6 weeks 1-2Warning, AP Warning 3Loss of Privilege during Eagle Time 4LOP AND Lunch Detention 5-6ECO (3hrs) 7Saturday School (4hrs) 8+Office Referral Tardy Consequences begin on Monday

Thank you for always wearing an ID. If you lose your ID… 1.Go to a tardy station for temporary ID. Front Office- 1 st floor AP Office - 2 nd Floor ID cost will be $5 and $1 for temporary sticker IDs can be made before/after school or during lunch in the library If you show up to class w/o ID, you will get a Tardy for being late upon returning to class.

Keep in mind that PODs are academic extensions of the classroom, not lounge areas, nor thoroughfares. Students are not to sit on tables or counters and are expected to use furniture with respect. This is not a place teachers send students because they are done with their work.

Your APs had fun making these slides but do as we say, not as we do! Students can move furniture but not when people are in/on the furniture. Respect the classes around you. Respect the learning taking place! Students should not be in the POD area before school, nor during lunch because other classes will be in session

 Guidelines apply to all classes  Reteach/Retest – When you want to Re-do an assignment  Individual basis – if score on assignment is less than 80%  Replace grade with average of the two attempts  Students must receive remediation (1 tutorial) and complete all formative assignments prior to reassessment  Teachers must post grades within 5 days  Students have 2 school days to request the re-do and must complete it within 5 days of the original posting of grades  Test corrections are not an allowable retest opportunity

 If a student scores higher on a summative than on an associated formative, the teacher may replace the formative grade with the summative grade value. This is NOT to replace missing work.  Zeros are no longer dropped  Communication  Grades must be entered within 5 days of being turned in by student  Teachers will communicate with parents after the second “0”.

 Late work:  15 points may be deducted per class period, with maximum 30 points deducted  Late formative work will continue to be accepted until the summative for that assignment is completed or at least one day after parent contact is made  Semester Exams  No Fall semester exam exemptions  Spring: Students in AP classes who take AP exams  Spring: Students who take EOC exams  Exams will count 1/7 of the semester average

Complete and updated guidelines available on Northwest ISD website under Information tab.
