Effective interdisciplinary learning: can take the form of individual oneoff projects or longer courses of study is planned around clear purposes is based upon experiences and outcomes drawn from different curriculum areas or subjects within them ensures progression in skills and in knowledge and understanding can provide opportunities for mixed-stage learning which is interest based. /totality/interdisciplinary/index.asp

Summary Focused planning around a small number of experiences and outcomes leads to deeper learning outcomes. Children need to have a sense of ownership to remain motivated and face challenges confidently. Having an end product, final outcome or completed project ensures that the learning experiences are meaningful.

Conclusion Real-world writing experiences build morale, spread energy, help students accomplish real goals, and provide opportunities for writers to be excellent. (Harwayne, 2000).
