 You are more independent.  You have to take more responsibility.  Grading is different.  You have to speak up for yourself.

 Clubs/Organizations ◦ Go for depth, not breadth ◦ Keep a record of your activities  Electives ◦ Plan carefully; your opportunities are limited in number. ◦ Scheduling will happen 2 nd semester.

 On level  K-level  Advanced Placement Classes ◦ College level classes; AP tests taken in May are the only way to get college credit  Dual Credit Classes ◦ High school and college credit for the class.  Articulated Classes

 My freshman year doesn’t count.  I’m picking this class because my friend is taking it.  I’ll just skip this class. One day won’t make a difference  I don’t need to write down that assignment. I’ll remember it.  My homework is late…I’ll just forget about it.

 Sorry, I can’t join that club, I have to study all the time.  Everyone else in class understood what the teacher just said except me, so I won’t ask him to explain it.  I don’t want to talk to the teacher about the problems I’m having with her class.  I’m having a problem at school…my friends are helping me  I really don’t need that much sleep.
