News at Fareham ………  The Café in our lovely new building will be open and serving food by the end of September  Vending Machines have now been placed in B Building  A Costa Express Machine will be in place in C Building by the end of September  The Smoking Shelter has been moved and is now alongside the Outdoor Games Area  Fresher’s Fair will take Place in the Mall on Wednesday 16 th September 12 – 2pm  Students who wish to park their car/moped at College need a Parking Permit; please visit Reception to collect a request form.  Students will receive a link to ‘Wise Pay’ via their College address by the end of next week. It will then be possible to top up ID cards for payment of food in the restaurants!

News at CEMAST ……  A partnership has been agreed with the local Kia dealership who have donated a top spec Kia Cee’d GT for Level 3 students to develop their skills  Bloodhound SSC, a jet and rocket powered car designed to go at 1,000 mph (just over 1,600 kph), is coming to CEMAST between 24 th – 26 th September 2015  Cabin Crew have now relocated to CEMAST and a new aircraft cabin simulator has been installed in the Aviation workshop  Most of the students have now collected their new uniform and are all looking very smart – students who need to can still order their uniform – please contact reception for more information  We have a fantastic new Receptionist, Jane Attewell – don’t forget to say hello!  Saturday 26 th September – CEMAST open day  Students who wish to park at College need a Parking Permit; visit Reception to collect a request form  Students will receive a link to ‘Wise Pay’ via their College address by the end of next week. Seminars  The subject for the seminar this week is ‘Settling In’  A member of the Senior Management Team will deliver the seminar  Make sure your tutor books you in – limited places available  Time Slots for this Term; Monday 10am-11am at CEMAST, 1.30pm – 2.30pm at Fareham and Thursday 9.30am – 10.30am at Fareham  Learn all about the College and what you can do to help settle in

Becoming an ambassador ……  Would you like to represent your fellow students and department and have your say about how the College is run?  Would you be willing to work for the College at events such as Open Evenings and School Visits?  Our Student Ambassadors are paid £6.30 per hour for all events  Application Forms available at the Fresher's Fair on 16 th September.  Interviews take place on Friday 18 th September

Reminders  Please wear your Student lanyards (around your neck) at all times whilst on College Grounds. If you forget it, you will need to collect a label from Reception. If you have a lost it, one free replacement will be issued. A charge of £3 will be made after that.  A new College Bus Service is now in operation from Whiteley, visiting Locks Heath, Warsash, The Highlands, Fareham College and then on to CEMAST – collect a timetable from Reception  If you are late for class, then you must visit Student Services for a Late Slip! Lateness will be monitored centrally.  The only smoking shelter on the campus is at the back of C Building, please do not smoke anywhere else – thank you.
