EDUCATION Kristen Michaelis

Education Spain Parents High School Elementary School Middle School

Spain Positive: Helped me to decide my major Helped me to improve my language skills Gave me cultural experience to share with students

Parents Negative: Set high expectation causing a lot of stress when I did not perform as well as I should have. Positive: Pushed me to get good grades and to further my education

High School Negative: 10 th grade English teacher discouraged me, and I thought I couldn’t be a good writer. High school didn’t prepare me as well for studying in college Positive: Good grades & participation in club helped me to get into college.

Elementary School Negative: I did not receive extra help with reading comprehension because I received adequate grades. I still have problems with this today. Positive: Education prepared me to take advanced classes in middle school and high school.

Middle School Negative: Followed peer’s example and did not perform as well as I should have.
