Komodo Dragon By: Dragon Ling
Komodo Dragons are found in Indonesia and small islands surrounding it. They mostly live on Komodo island and other small islands around in Indonesia. Their habitat is Grasslands and around river banks.
The Komodo Dragon eats smaller animals. It attacks them by putting a poisonous bacteria that attacks their blood and kills them. The Dragon follows the smell to find it’s rotting and eats it. A 300 pound Dragon can eat 240 pounds at one time.
A Komodo Dragon can weigh up to 300 pounds and it’s height can be 10 ft. They are the heaviest lizards on Earth. They have flat long heads with rounded snouts, scaly skin, bowed legs, and huge muscular legs.
The Komodo Dragons have no natural predator on their island. Some threats to their environment are-- getting hunted, loss of habitat, less available prey, and natural disasters.
The Komodo Dragons habitat in 1000 years will have snow storms. Due to the Global Warming icebergs are melting and water is rising, that makes the climate change and get cooler.
The adapted animals name would be “Ice Dragon”.
The adapted animals prey would be the Penguin. It would get so cold, the Penguins would swim to Indonesia.
The adapted animals predator would be the Polar Bear. The Polar Bear would get on a ice berg and float to Indonesia. The Komodo dragon would have to change it’s fighting skills to fight off the Polar Bear.
The white camouflage would help because of the new snowy environment. Komodo dragon would have to adapt from it’s original color to white so it could sneak up on Penguins and attack. It would also hide from Polar bears with the white camouflage.
