What is NCAN? 265 college access programs, centers, statewide networks and supporting members. Active in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada. Most member programs are community- based, privately funded programs. Statewide networks are supported by public and/or private partnerships.

Statewide College Access Networks

Statewide Network Activities Coordinate and support the growth and sustainability of existing programs Develop new programs Provide technical assistance and professional development for boards of directors, executive directors & staff Advocacy for policies to support college access and success Direct social marketing campaigns such as KnowHow2GO

Other Network Activities Networking among stakeholders Fundraising (private and public funds) Communications (newsletter, listserv, webinars, websites for members, etc.) Seed grants for local college access programs Technical assistance (research, fundraising, evaluation, etc.) Professional development and training Advocacy Collateral Materials Conferences and workshops

Potential Members of a Statewide Network Community-based programs providing one- on-one advising services to students in schools and community centers Federally-funded college access programs including TRIO, GEAR-UP Colleges, universities and campus-based programs
