Actors of IRC projects are ARIST Rhone Alpes consultants, European Irc network, european SMEs and experts. The aim of the AESOP project was to build a tool which could help the technological transfer between those actors.

The groupware tool should be propose security and flexibility : –Security Aesop software should offer a private space where confidential information and/or public information could be published according to connected people profil in a high security level. –Flexibility Aesop solution should propose a flexible web collaborative tool. The software application should be flexible and could be customized according to each technological transfer project. Each participant has its own space which can be shared with other SMEs, Experts, etc...

CRCI Rhône-AlpsFrance – LYON - Slide N°8Laure Masson What was achieved AESOP plateform gives to user the possibility to publish useful websites in a single page like a portal. This integration will help the consultants in their work with SME clients. Groupware solution was developed taken into account IRC needs. –Portlets like Forum, calendar and document management system were developed and can be used in collaborative projects. –The flexibility of the tool is real and private secure spaces can be built and shared between different group and users. Each project can be related to one specific space with personalised customization, language and services. –The access to spaces is obtained by login, certificates and Smart cards. Different level of Security have been developed to access to secure spaces.

This service could be very useful for people who are working with lot of different websites and extranets. It would be time saving. The integration of our desk top communication tools (agenda, etc) have not been done. The integration of our work “File Maker tool” Kangourou is not achieved.

CRCI Rhône-AlpsFrance – LYON - Slide N°11Laure Masson First use of Aesop The multiple configuration possibilities created new ideas of platform use. The solution of groupware can effectively be used in Extranet of projects where a secure work in a common space is requested. Aesop will be use as an Extranet in a IRC Consortium IRC called SORAA. The Portal has been configured and 3 spaces were created : –Space for IRC consortium partner. This is the earth of the Extranet. In this common space, partners can follow the consortium project and different projects and events. They can use Aesop portal like a virtual desk. –Space for anonymous user : without connection, the user can access to a public portlet containing useful websites called “Regional IRC web sites” –Space for New registered people : a list of selected IRC web site “European technological partnership web sites” is proposed to them.

The use of the tool could be extend. Rhone_Alpes pilot could exploit Ticket Management Services for exemple.
