 Richard Diebenkorn was born on April 22 of 1922 in Portland, Oregon. He studied in the Stanford university and he was known by his capabilities of a great drawer. We worked and lived in various places inside the Unites States and in some other laces. His works are related to forms and also abstract art.  With this pieces of art, he achieved worldwide acclaim and prestige, because of the quality of his paintings and also of the contemporary way they were represented and reproduced.  He awarded the “national medal of arts”, and his painting called “ocean park 48” made million.

 His Famous works of art are based on the abstract expressionism. Most of them are totally abstract so they couldn´t fit into my work, but there are some more that have the same kind of category in which I am trying to get into: the drawing of landscapes; abstract landscapes.

A landscape in which the abstract expressionism is totally expressed, could be used in my work except for the color, I want the black and white to be the most important colors in the painting. Another example of the artist. As we see, the landscape is not too defined, the same expression I´m also trying to make with the explosion.

Visual language elements Richard Diebenkorn Richard Diebenkorn uses for his paintings lines and Geometric figures in most of the cases. He also uses textures to make a difference of an object from the general painting. Both share the vision of the landscapes, for Richard Diebenkorn, the paintings of the buildings must be more clear than the rest of the painting, and Gonzalo Ariza is specialized on the definition of the forest landscapes and the trees he constantly draws. Both, when they are drawing a landscapes, it seems to b concentrated on the importance of certain parts of the drawing, in the texture of it, e.t.c Gonzalo Ariza Gonzalo Ariza is more concerned about the lines and the less color characteristic of the drawing. He is more “controlled with the color expressions in all the painting.

ConceptGonzalo Ariza The Concept of Gonzalo Ariza is based on indigenous traditions and forms of art. He used the doctrines of the traditional paintings of our nation to develop new forms of art between the traditional and contemporary artistic styles. Richard Diebenkorn Diebenkorn Concept is based on the abstract paintings of expressionism and also the landscapes of different parts of the world. This artist has painted in many kind of subjects, but the most important one is the painting of landscapes and abstract images of people, situations, places and geometrical figures.

Richard Diebenkorn used for his paintings a technique called “oil on canvas” which is a procedure that consists on painting using pigments of drying oil. Gonzalo Ariza used for his paintings Watercolors, which are famous because of the simple procedure it takes to produce them. TECHNIQUE
