PIET MONDRIAN

 Born in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, on March 7, 1872, and originally named Pieter Cornelis Mondriaan, Mondrian embarked on an artistic career over his family's objections.  In 1908, under the influence of the Dutch painter Jan Toorop, he began to experiment with brighter colors; this represented the beginning of his attempts to transcend nature.

 Moving to Paris in 1911, Mondrian adopted a cubist- influenced style, producing analytical series such as Trees ( ) and Scaffoldings ( ).

 Mondrian's “Neo-Plastic” works are quite simple, with carefully arranged rectangles, but with few details. They use clean and straight lines that are painted with a classic red, yellow or blue.

 In New York however, he created his "Boogie Woogie" paintings, which to my mind are among the best compositions of the 20th century. And thus Mondrian achieved his goal: to become one of the greatest painters in history.

I wonder where NIKE got this idea?
