Presentation transcript:

Besides learning how the JCI information system works, you will receive essential details on how to manage the database center application, as well as tips to solve the most common problems. As the link between JCI and your national organization concerning IT matters, you will help your national organization solve problems and take full advantage of the JCI website. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with JCI in several projects in the future to provide greater assistance to members. After participating in the IT summit, you will be eligible to become an IT trainer. If you are a PRIME graduate, you will receive a certificate at the Awards Ceremony. If you are not a PRIME graduate yet, as soon as you successfully complete a PRIME course, you may request your certificate to start your new role within the JCI IT world! Were you born between 1975 and 1986? If so, you are invited to a special forum to offer recommendations to the 2004 JCI Strategic Planning Committee (SPC), which will set JCI's course for five years. At each of the four JCI Area Conferences this year — in the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and Africa, and the Middle East — our youngest and brightest members will have the opportunity to share their vision for JCI in the new millennium. What benefits do you wish to gain from your active JCI membership over the next five years? What would you like JCI to be best known for? How do you want to re- engineer JCI to meet the needs of this generation of young leaders and entrepreneurs? Share your ideas with your peers and contribute with recommendations to this year's JCI Strategic Planning Committee (SPC). Don't miss your opportunity to have your voice heard! Be there! LEAD is a top-notch seminar that helps develop leadership competencies keeping in mind the needs of our local and national presidents and the latest leadership models and methodologies used by major world-class organizations. It includes pre- seminar assignments and post-seminar practical actions to ensure tangible results. JCI LEAD is a piece of the JCI Leadership Development Process puzzle that began when you became a new member and will help you reach your personal, professional and JCI goals, depending you dedication and commitment. This process is geared to develop, through formal and informal learning experiences, the knowledge and awareness needed by volunteer and profit organizations.

Being a member of JCI doesn't fully prepare you to run a JCI chapter effectively. ACHIEVE teaches future chapter leaders the mechanics of managing a JCI chapter. Blending theory and practice, ACHIEVE examines the non-profit world, the definition of success in a non-profit, branding, target markets, recruitment and retention, and a host of other day- to-day operational aspects on which local officers need to focus to have a strong chapter. ACHIEVE will help local officers understand the dynamics between different target markets and the existing membership base and ensure their chapter programming is relevant to their members by approaching planning strategically and comprehensively. PRIME, a two-and-a-half-day seminar and the first- level course for JCI trainers, can be your practical guide to implement sound personal and leadership development programs to create positive change. PRIME attendees build confidence by acquiring complex information presented in clear and engaging ways, and they increase their ability to motivate others. Additionally, they develop their communication skills and learn to look at new situations with an open and positive mindset. EXCEL, the flagship program of the JCI University, prepares individuals who have already shown talent in the management of the adult learning experience for a new dimension of coaching development. EXCEL teaches adult learning concepts and methods that are even more dynamic and innovative than those taught in PRIME. By acquiring knowledge, practicing techniques and developing concepts, EXCEL participants expand their expertise and creativity. Use EXCEL in your professional life. If you attend the EXCEL course, you will learn how to prepare a training manual that offers clear instructions. The techniques you will learn in EXCEL can easily be adapted to develop strategies, a professional plan of action, or various plans. You will learn how to focus on what's essential and to write clearly. Use PRIME right away in your professional life. The seven modules of PRIME will help you develop your presentations skills in front of different audiences, not only for JCI, but also for any other purpose. You will learn about adult learning and develop presentation skills, which you will be able to control and use right after the course. Furthermore, you will obtain additional knowledge and experience by training other people.
