Being a discussant Begin the question part of the seminar by preparing a few questions Keep your focus on central parts of the thesis work, it is not so much the text you should discuss but the claims made by the authors Ambiguities, interpretations, assumptions, conclusion, relevance, trustworthiness Hand over your comments to the text to the author
Being an opponent Prepare a presentation of the thesis (15min) Conduct a critical examination of the thesis in discussion with the author(s) (30 min)
