CENTRAL ROBOTIC S 2013

Who is Central Robotics for? Students who want to pursue engineering careers Students who like to design, build, create Students who like to public speak Students who like to perform Central Robotics is for all students

What does it cost? There is no charge to participate. We are completely self funded Donations are accepted We ask for $25, includes a t-shirt (not required) We welcome business donations

What will be my role on the team? Fill out the interest survey Consider your strengths and weaknesses It may be a “get your feet wet” year or the time to really commit to the team

What are the time requirements? Time requirements really depend on the team you are on. Engineering – every day Booth Design – every day Booth Engineering – every day Notebook – 3-4 days per week Web design – can be done at school or at home Marketing – 2-3 days a week Spirit – 1-2 days a week You time commitment determines the success of your team

I will be gone for Fall Break, does that matter? If you are gone over Fall Break, that is fine, but realize that the team does not stop meeting and we will move on without you. What you thought was the direction when you left, may be totally different when you return. Enjoy your time off!

What can parents do? Come and visit when you can to provide expertise where you are skilled. Pick up your child on time. Be prepared for late nights when needed. Provide mental and emotional support. Robotics team can be stressful

What happens next? Team building meetings begin on Monday, September 23 rd. Kickoff is September 28 th, 2013 at David Lipscomb University in Nashville. It is a good idea to come and see the field and learn the game. Game day is November 9 th.
