History Android was discovered by Andre Rubin in California U.S.A on October The name Android was given by his close friend Steave Pearlman. Android was owned by Google on 17 Aug Android was first made in use for cell phones like HTC & SAMSUNG.

Version On April 30, 2009, the Android 1.5 update was released, based on linux kernel This was the first release to officially use a name based on a dessert ("Cupcake"), a theme which would be used for all releases henceforth. The update included several new features and UI amendments. On September 15, 2009, the Android 1.6 SDK – dubbed Donut – was released, based on Linux kernel Included in the update were numerous new features.

On October 26, 2009, the Android 2.0 SDK – codenamed Eclair – was released, based on Linux kernel Changes included. Bluetooth 2.1 support. Improved Google Maps On May 20, 2010, the Android 2.2 (Froyo, short for Frozen Yogurt) SDK was released, based on Linux kernel On December 6, 2010, the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) SDK was released, based on Linux kernel Changes included.

On February 22, 2011, the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) SDK – the first tablet-only Android update – was released, based on Linux kernel The first device featuring this version, the Motorola Xoom tablet, was released on February 24, tabletMotorola Xoom The SDK for Android (Ice Cream Sandwich), based on Linux kernel 3.0.1, was publicly released on October 19, 2011.Google's Gabe Cohen stated that Android 4.0 was "theoretically compatible" with any Android 2.3.x device in production at that time. The source code for Android 4.0 became available on November 14, The update introduced numerous new features, including.source code

On June 27, 2012, at the Google I/O conference, Google announced Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Based on Linux kernel , Jelly Bean was an incremental update with the primary aim of improving the functionality and performance of the user interface. The performance improvement involved "Project Butter", which uses touch anticipation, triple buffering, extended vsync timing and a fixed frame rate of 60fps to create a fluid and "buttery"-smooth UI. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was released to AOSP on July 9, 2012, and an OTA update for the Nexus 7 to Android was released on July 11, 2012, making it the first device to run Jelly Bean.Google I/Otriple bufferingvsyncfpsAOSPOTA updateNexus 7

Application Applications are usually developed in the Java language using the Android Software Development Kit, but other development tools are available, including a Native Development Kit for applications There are thousands of android application

Android based application Google Voice - Google Voice is a service that is so useful It gives you a phone number that can ring to multiple places or devices and it allows you to access all of your voic and text messages over the Web. The Android app integrates even deeper. It can make outgoing calls look like they're coming from your Google Voice number so that you can keep your real mobile number private

FxCamera-Honestly, the camera software on Android is an area where major improvements are needed, but this app is a great example of what's possible. It has solid camera controls, full customization options, and offers some great effects for photos

Google Goggles-This is a fun app that is a little but ahead of its time. It does visual searches. You can take pictures of things and then the app tries to tell you what they are. It's limited in its scope but it is pretty cool, and it's definitely a peek into the future. One of the coolest features is the ability to take pictures of text in a foreign language and let that app translate for you. In a foreign country, this can help you read street signs and avoid going into the wrong bathroom. :-)

Tripit- It is by far the best app found for keeping track of all my travel itineraries. It runs on some great backend systems. You simply forward your confirmation s for your flights, hotels, rental cars, and more to Tripit and it automatically organizes them into trips with all your details and confirmation numbers.

Dropbox-Dropbox is a great cloud service that automatically syncs a folder of files between multiple computers (Windows, Mac, or Linux). This app extends Drop box to Android and interacts with other apps (such as Documents To Go) to open the files.
