T HE PURPOSE OF THE ACTIVITY  - Learn the basic legal documents regulating the activity of the doctor in the communal hygiene in the implementation of the choice of water sources and the organization of the SOA. - To teach students to use the legislative framework in its selection of water sources and the organization of the SOA. - To teach students to competently carry out sanitary-hygienic assessment of the organization SOA.

 SOA is organized in all water pipes, regardless of their affiliation, supplying water both from surface and from underground sources, including artificial recharge is used for domestic and drinking needs.

SBV organization should precede the development and project, which includes a) the delimitation of the area and its constituent zones b) development of action plans to improve the health of SOA by eliminating existing and prevent possible contamination of water supplies and worsening quality of water.

Designing the SOA implementation should begin with: sanitary, microbiological sanitary-chemical, hydrogeological investigations in accordance with the program set out in the proposal GOST g. "Rules for the selection and evaluation of the quality sources of centralized drinking water supply."

1st zone SOA groundwater and surface water sources and water supply facilities installed in order to eliminate the possible accidental or intentional contamination of water at the source, at the location of water intake and water supply facilities. 2nd and 3rd belt SBV are aimed at preventing adverse effects on the quality and quantity of water used or intended for use underground and surface sources centralized drinking water supply through the implementation of a set of measures, based on local sanitation, hydro or hydrological features of sources water and nature of possible contamination.
